About

Can you see it now? What is it? Where is it? How is it?

Stop! Stop! Stop! What on earth is "it?"

What can you imagine...

I can imagine life, a vast universe of stars, planets, moons and all the beings within and without it.

I can imagine the story the dust in the corner of your bedroom tells.

I can imagine the tales of people making the mundane fantastic.

I can imagine the memoirs of individuals setting stones for the future.

I'm a 20-something Canadian currently living out my dream of travelling and writing while living in London. I grew up under mountains, pine forests and by lakes in what is called by the tourist board "Super Natural British Columbia." When I wasn't reading fantasy stories or later, loads of science-fiction, I was dreaming of faeries and far-off places. In 2011 I travelled to Greece and Turkey as a part of my Classics degree at university and that, as they say, was that.

Next on my list of places to live are New Zealand, Japan and Ireland. Places to visit? Well, that' always growing I welcome suggestions.

This blog began at the insistence of family who felt I could best document my experiences as a travelling writer through this format. It has since blossomed into a corner where I don't tell you what to see or not to see. That's what Google or the other blogs and magazines I write for, are for.

No, I tell you a story. This includes written personal experiences and impressions, as well as far too many photographs (my other hobby) to count. All photos found on this blog are a product of a simple but solid Canon Rebel XSi and its kit lens (with a recent addition of  55-250mm lens). I am also working toward completing a full novel, which was inspired through the drabbles you will also find on here (inspired both by photos, experiences or readers who give me a writing prompt).

If you want facts go elsewhere. If you want a story and an experience. Stick around, explore.

After all, the more a story is told. The greater the truth it will hold.

Thank you for reading.
Moony.

A/N (April 2015): Please note that the blog is currently undergoing a bit of an overhaul and reorganisation so many of the accessible tabs do not contain the full archive of material that has built up since this blog began over a year and a bit ago.

"The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say"
J.R.R. Tolkien (The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1))
